Knock off a few decibels with our Sound Reduction Kit for any of our 3.00” Khrome Werks® HP-Plus® mufflers for Softail, Dyna and Sportster models (will also fit our 2.50” slash cut mufflers).  Kit includes two machined discs and two 7.50” ¼-20 bolts and two prevailing torque nuts. The machined discs tapered bosses fit into each end of the patented resonator near the exit end of the mufflers and are retained by the supplied bolts and nuts. This kit is designed to use with 3 ball style resonators that are 6.50 long. Will also fit most of our other mufflers (4 ball style resonators) if  ¼-20 x 11.00” threaded rods are substituted for the supplied bolts. Installation requires removal of the mufflers. Improves low end torque with a minimal loss of top end horsepower.  Test Motorcycle: 2006 Dyna Glide with KW HP-Plus 3”slash cut  mufflers, Screamin Eagle air cleaner, Thundermax ECU and Andrews #37 cams.  Test parameters: SAE J2825. Sound meter placed 20” from the rear muffler at a 45 degree angle. Two recordings taken, one at idle, and one at 2000 RPM. Results: 1.7 decibels less at idle and 4 less at 2000 RPM with the kit installed. Sold per pair.  Made in the USA.
